  Developed by Dr. Roger Callahan in 1981, Thought Field Therapy is a mind-body treatment that combines modern science, oriental medicine, and the body's energy system.

The therapist directs the patient to think about a problem and focus on the feelings they wish to eliminate. They are then instructed to tap on specific body spots, or energy points, which are predominantly on the face and hands. After the treatment, the thought of the problem no longer holds the emotional charge that it once did.
