Sensuality and Sexual Functioning

Workshop and Individual Therapy for Sexual Comfort and Aliveness

There are many reasons why some people are not able to fully enjoy their sensuous, sexual self. Perhaps they received negative messages early in life about their bodies and its sensations. Far too many survived painful relationships or abusive traumas by closing down physically. Still others are just not used to being openly affectionate because of their family’s style of relating. As a result, self-consciousness, constriction, or shame, replace comfort, spontaneity, and aliveness.

I created a series of exercises designed to explore what caused constriction and to learn new ways to approach physical pleasure and intimacy. The exercises are not explicitly sexual in nature. The emphasis of this work is on removing the blocks to pleasure and aliveness.

Typical Issues Include:

  • Low Sexual Desire
  • History of Sexual Abuse
  • Difficulty with Intimate Relationships
  • Trouble Achieving Orgasm
  • Discomfort with Oral Sex
  • Premature Ejaculation
  • Impotence
  • Uncomfortable Being Sensuous
  • Critical of One’s Body
  • Frustration with Partner’s Sexual Limitations
